ICC Wales wins Gold Award for Venue of the Year on prestigious miaList 2025
ICC Wales has won the Gold Award for Venue of the Year (over 300 delegates) on the Meetings Industry Association’s miaList 2025, earning a coveted place on the trade association’s prestigious role of honour.
The recognition celebrates ICC Wales as a trailblazer in delivering world-class events, where innovation, sustainability, and exceptional client care combine to create outstanding delegate experiences.
Judges were impressed with how the venue’s success is underpinned by a people-first culture that drives continuous improvement across every aspect of its operations – from sustainable catering and in-house technical delivery to impactful community initiatives and advocacy for Martyn’s Law.
Over the past year, the venue has hosted 181 events, welcomed thousands of delegates, and achieved a client satisfaction score of 94.7%, with 80% of clients planning to return.
Holding Green Dragon Level 4 accreditation, ICC Wales continues to set new standards for environmentally responsible event management. Its cutting-edge facilities, dedicated team, and uncompromising commitment to service and its seamless delivery of a high volume of complex and high-profile events were particularly highlighted.
“Being named Venue of the Year by the Meetings Industry Association is an incredible honour that reflects the passion and dedication of our entire team,” said Craig Bingham, Managing Director at ICC Wales.
“Our goal has been to redefine what an event venue can be – not just in terms of facilities, but through innovation, sustainability, and care for people and place. This achievement reinforces our reputation as more than just a venue – it’s a benchmark for best practice, purpose, and performance, setting new standards for the UK’s business events industry.”
This latest accolade follows hot on the heels of ICC Wales retaining its Silver Award for Best UK Conference Centre at the M&IT Awards in September. The team’s success continues to shine, with Head of Sales Amy Phillips shortlisted for the ABPCO Guiding Star Award and Association Sales Manager Chloe Turner recognised in the Rising Star category – with winners set to be announced next month.
